Red Sea disruptions trigger rise in Ocean Freight rates surpassing early Covid-19 levels

The latest data from Xenata shows a 200% increase in Ocean Freight Rates amid calls for Consolidated efforts in the Industry.  The Red sea crisis has already hit the Fresh Produce movement from Europe to Middle East. Adding on to it,  the European farmers  took to the streets this week warning that a perfect storm of wars, taxes and regulations was making their product uncompetitive.  The disruption caused by the protests has contributed further drop in export volumes from Europe as some produce has not even made it to European Ports.
